Robson gave only one site in vc 66 and another in vc 67, even though he noted it as "a common species in woods". We have no recent records for vc 66 but it is now known to be thinly but fairly widely distributed in lowland vc 67, just reaching into vc 68 on the lower slopes of the Cheviots.
